Day 1: Humantay Lagoon

Wake up early and enjoy coca tea.
Have breakfast and start the hike to the highest point of the Salkantay trail.
Ascend 7 km in approximately 4 hours, admiring the views of the mountains and snow-capped peaks.
Descend the snake trail for 3 hours, observing the flora and fauna of the forest.
Lunch in Huayracmachay.
Continue the 9 km hike in approximately 3 hours to Challway Village.
Admire the thick cloud forest and colorful orchids.
Arrive to the base camp in Challway Village and enjoy the night.

Includes:

English speaking guide and assistant guide for large groups.
Professional cook and kitchen assistant for large groups, and rider for mules and horses.
Mules to transport the group's equipment and large backpacks provided by the company for personal belongings.
All meals during the trek, including traditional Peruvian cuisine, modern fusion cuisine and specific dietary needs.

Entrance to hot springs in Cocalmayo (Santa Teresa) or other entertainment in Aguas Calientes.
Personal riding horse. Additional horses can be rented according to individual and group needs.
