Day 1: KM 104 – Wiñayhuayna – Aguas Calientes

  • We start our journey early in the morning to kilometre 104 by train.
  • We start the Inca Trail with a hike to Chachabamba (2270 meters) where the guide will give us information about the archaeological site.
  • Then we arrive at Wiñayhuayna (2650 meters), the second most important archaeological site after Machupicchu.
  • We continue to the Sun Gate “Inti Punku”, a viewpoint from where we will enjoy the sunset over Machupicchu (2400 meters).
  • Because we must head to our hotel in Aguas Calientes, we will spend little time at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary during the Inca Trail.
Day 1: KM 104 – Wiñayhuayna – Aguas Calientes

Day 2: Machupicchu

  • Early breakfast and departure to Machu Picchu by bus, arrival at approximately 6:00 am.
  • Tour guide will provide detailed information about the history and culture of the Incas in Machu Picchu.
  • Free time to explore and enjoy the site on your own.
  • Return to the village at the desired time.
  • Departure from Aguas Calientes by train to Ollantaytambo and then by bus back to Cusco.
  • End of the service.
Day 2: Machupicchu
